Every night my daughters and I have our favorite cup of Tea to settle us down and recharge our batteries for tomorrow’s next adventure. Since the weather has finally cooled off, and I feel my hibernation mood kicking in, the bells are ringing for my favorite comfort Special-TEA drinks. Nothing says snuggle up with a good book, your four lap dogs, and, oh, a cat like….CHOCOLATE!
Naughty Listed
(Serves 3-4)
You’ll need:
3 Teaspoons WhiteAugust Masala Chai
2 cups water
2 cups 2% milk
½ cup semi sweet or dark chocolate chips (I like the mini ones…ok my kids like the mini ones…no special reason, just that they are cool)
In your 16oz IngeniTea or 2 cup Tea pot add the 3 teaspoons of WhiteAugust Masala Chai™ and 2 cups of boiling water (205° F) Steep for 5 min. In the microwave, or if you are more patient than I am, on the stove, heat 2 cups of milk to a boil. Take your favorite Teacups and add 2 tablespoons of chocolate chips into each one, fill with equal parts hot milk and strained WhiteAugustâ Masala Chai™. Stir. You can also use a frother and make bubbles which the girls love.
Top with whipped cream, nutmeg or cinnamon.
For those not-so naughty types you can substitute white chocolate for the semi-sweet chocolate.
This might be on the naughty list, but Santa will stop by your house every night if you are careful.
I love the classics from Tchaikovsky to Pavarotti, so why not take an old classic like apple cider and make it TEArrific.
