This is a new feature. If you have a question you'd like answered, please submit it here and we'll get it answered for you.

How long will my tea keep?

If properly stored, tea can have a shelf life of up to a year.

Can I store my loose leaf tea in the freezer?

We don't recommend this. The best way to store your tea is in an airtight container. If you are storing in a clear jar, it's best to keep it out of direct sunlight. Additionally, store your teas away from strong smelling spices and herbs. Tea is very good at absorbing the odors around it, which can negatively affect the taste.

How much caffeine is in Tea?

The following amounts are based on an 8 ounce serving.

Black Tea - 45mgbtnsalesarea.jpg

Green Tea - 20 mg

White Tea - 15mg

Maté - 50 mg

Decaf Black Tea - 2mg

Herbal Tea (except maté) - 0mg

For comparison, an 8 ounce cup of coffee can contain 60 to 120mg of caffeine, and even more for any espresso based drink.

My Tea is bitter. How come?

With green and white Teas, the culprit is usually water temperature. Greens and whites should never be steeped with boiling water as that will scorch the leaves leaving a bitter taste. Length of steeping time can also be a factor. You can read more about brewing Tea here.
